This will be my main vieweing device and will be in the living room, but i would like to access the content of the shield tv on my bedroom using plex client on a fire stick. sounds like you're almost ready to truly cut the cord :D i had the same frustrations as you. to the point of installing a tv antenna, buying an hdhomerun, attaching it to the plex server. now plex records all my shows live, then strips the commercials out and delivers the final result to my shield
