Dec 03, 2005My personal opinion is that the manual mode in the new Steptronics has a very dangerous factor built into it, and I would caution against using it at all, unless one is extremely sensitive to it. If you hit the gas pedal a bit too aggressively in manual mode, you will get a major downshift [example, going suddenly from 5th to 2nd at about 40 mph].

Jan 14, 2017The car will engage sport mode while in drive, though it seems to work only here and there. If I knock the shifter over to DS, the sport light stays on but the car doesn't increase throttle response. Moving the shifter up or down to engage manual mode shows me the current gear on the gauge cluster but I can't shift up or down, the car does it all.Top responsessounds weird, maybe CPU lost it mind? sorry for being captain obvious but why don't you take it back to the dealer and ask their advice?2 votesI wish I knew how to help.
