May 05, 2007Thanks for answering my question. What you are describing is tapeworms. Dogs get tapeworms either from hunting small mammals (mice, squirrels, etc) or from fleas. Most the time in dogs it is fleas, so be sure to check closely for these as well and you may want to get your dog started on a good flea preventive as well.
