Jul 02, 20113V fuse in the furnace blows when the air conditioner turns. We live in the country and we were on our last fuse. We went through 12 of them. The Temputure in the House is 88 degrees. Praise the Lord for Air. Thank you for your help and if you ever need a good referance have them call me.

May 02, 2009Try to activate from the thermostat, though, and the 3A fuse blows. I also pulled the low-voltage wires at the furnace board (wires which run out to contactor on AC unit). When this is done, the thermostat can be switched to "Cool" without issue. Obviously the AC unit doesn't engage, but no fuses blow.
