Feb 01, 2017I will be installing 3 or 4 emergency maintained lights in the basement, they operate as a normal light so are dual purpose. The grid switch will be located at the top of the stairs, so it can be tested when leading down the stairs.

After all escape lighting is still emergency lighting, just that provided specifically for the purposes of providing sufficient illumination of exit routes to allow safe egress.
