Nov 29, 20172003 Chevrolet Impala Base. #2, #1 (L to R I believe). #1 controls the primary cooling fan (driver's side), #2 is the cooling fan control relay, and #3 is the secondary cooling fan (passenger side). or jump them with a wire to see if that helps your situation and maybe help determine if your problem is relay related.

Jul 06, 2016Looking at the trouble code description: P0481 Cooling Fan 2 Control Circuit Malfunction OBDII Engine Light Trouble Code | Engine-Codes And looking at the wiring diagram in my Haynes manual, it looks like I can rule out the ECT (Engine Coolant Temperature) sensor. I'm guessing if that was bad it would throw a different code.
